Bay Ridge came together in loving memory on Friday, January 24 to honor the legacy of late, great local resident, journalist, family member and friend Tom Kane at “Tommy Kane’s Bay Ridge Birthday Music Blowout.”

“It was extraordinary,” said event organizer and co-founder of brooklynONE Anthony Marino. “I just want to really thank everyone for coming out and keeping Tom’s legacy alive in Bay Ridge.”

According to Marino, over 200 people filled Saint Patrick’s auditorium to remember the lifelong Ridgeite. The evening featured rocking performances by local musicians Frankie Marra and His Band, Head N South, Radio Daze, Beefcake and more.

All proceeds went towards Kane’s favorite causes: The Frankie Loccisano Memorial Foundation for Children with Cancer (Frankie’s Mission), Saint Patrick’s Catholic Academy and brooklynONE.

“We really look forward to making this an annual event,” added Marino. “It was really, really awesome.”
