Opportunities for a Better Tomorrow (OBT) in partnership with the Learning About Multimedia Project (LAMP) is excited to announce its new program, Digital Career Path.

The program provides classroom computer and digital literacy training, online work opportunities . Students will increase their computer literacy and digital skills while participating in an innovative "earn while you learn" training model, allowing participants to upgrade skills while developing a work history in the technology field through online work opportunities.

Participants will learn the fundamentals of Internet business etiquette and explore the purposes of having an online identity through social networking. They will discover the building blocks of nearly all digital media content by learning to create and edit with Adobe Creative Suite which includes Photoshop, Illustrator and Flash, edit and manage video and audio files, blog and tag images, basic HTML coding and elements of graphic design.

Credentials

Microsoft Office Specialist Certification (MOS)

National Retail Federation's (NRF) Professional Certification in Customer Service

After the Program

OBT's highly experienced job developers, as well as the LAMP's facilitators, will connect graduating participants to employment, advanced education, and/or additional training opportunities in the information technology and other technology-related sectors.
